Chief Shona-Aluko Condoles Ooni Over Brother's Death

Chief Afolashade Shona-Aluko, known as the Yeye Bobajiro Oduduwa, extended her condolences to Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, following the death of Adetunji Ogunwusi, the monarch's immediate elder brother. In a condolence message obtained by Saturday PUNCH on Friday, Shona-Aluko described Adetunji's passing as a significant loss to the Ogunwusi Royal Family, the Ojaja Royal Dynasty, and the people of Ile-Ife.

She characterized the deceased as an accomplished entrepreneur and philanthropist, whose humility and generosity earned him widespread admiration. Shona-Aluko noted the numerous tributes received since his death, reflecting the positive impact he had on many lives.

She expressed her solidarity with the royal family during this mourning period and prayed for the peaceful repose of Prince Adetunji's soul, as well as for the strength of the Ooni and the Ogunwusi family to cope with their loss.
