Opposition Lawmakers Meet Over Minority Leader's Lawsuit in Abuja

Opposition lawmakers in the House of Representatives are set to convene in Abuja to discuss a lawsuit filed by Minority Leader Hon Kingsley Chinda to prevent his removal from office. The minority caucus, comprising members from various parties, aims to address the alleged plot to oust Chinda from his leadership position.

The lawsuit seeks to halt any moves to remove Chinda as a principal officer in the House. The Federal High Court in Abuja has summoned the National Assembly management and Speaker Abbas Tajudeen, among others, to respond to the lawsuit within 30 days.
