Gift Orban joins Amedspor on loan from Hoffenheim

Striker Gift Orban has completed a season-long loan move to Turkish Süper Lig side Amedspor from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim. This transfer follows his brief return to Germany after a loan at Italian side Hellas Verona.

The agreement includes an obligation to buy, allowing Amedspor to secure Orban on a permanent contract if certain conditions are met. Orban's future had been uncertain after he fell out of Hoffenheim's plans.

His agent, Atta Aneke, stated that Orban was drawn to Amedspor due to the club's ambition and vision. Orban expressed excitement about joining a competitive Turkish league, which has hosted many successful Nigerian players.

He previously attracted interest from Serie A side Bologna but did not finalize a move. Last season at Verona, he scored seven goals and provided three assists in 29 appearances, but the club's relegation and a fan altercation hindered a permanent deal.

Orban aims to help Amedspor, newly promoted to the Süper Lig, achieve its goals.
