Gift Orban Approaches Loan Move to Amedspor from Hoffenheim

Gift Orban is reportedly close to securing a loan move to Turkish side Amedspor from Hoffenheim, as per a report from German outlet Kicker. Orban spent the previous season on loan at Italian club Hellas Verona, where he scored seven goals in the first half of the campaign but only managed one goal in the 2026 calendar year, finishing as Verona's top scorer.

However, Verona opted against making his move permanent. Following his time in Italy, Hoffenheim has no plans for Orban in the upcoming season.

His tenure in Germany has mirrored his previous experiences, as he joined Hoffenheim from Olympique Lyonnais in January 2025 for a transfer fee of €9 million. Orban had a bright start in the Bundesliga, scoring four goals, but failed to score in February 2025.

Hoffenheim is set to receive a loan fee of €1 million from Amedspor for the 2026-27 campaign, with an obligation to buy clause that will activate once Orban reaches a specific appearance threshold, leading to a permanent transfer fee of around €4 million.
