Oriwu College Wins Ardova's Women's Day Debate Prize

Oriwu College emerged as the winner of Ardova PLC's International Women's Day Debate, securing a prize of N250,000. The debate, aimed at enhancing students' confidence and leadership skills, focused on providing girls with leadership opportunities and financial support.

The event featured participants from public schools in Lagos, with Oriwu College's senior model team representing Ikorodu. Oregun Senior High School and Ayeder Ajibola Senior High School placed second and third, winning N200,000 and N150,000 respectively.

Each participating school received a 15-inch rechargeable public address system. Moshood Olajid, the Managing Director of Ardova PLC, emphasized the importance of equipping young girls with soft skills, noting that the competition addresses the disadvantages faced by public school students compared to their private school counterparts.

Abiola Babatund Ojo, Deputy Managing Director, highlighted the initiative's goal to empower young girls and contribute to a stronger economy by investing in their future leadership roles.
