Umahi Directs Ohaozara Wards to Submit Priority Projects

Osborn Nweze Umahi, the Chairman of Ohaozara Local Government Area in Ebonyi, has directed the 11 wards within the council to submit five priority projects each for consideration in his administration's action plan. This announcement was made during an expanded stakeholders' meeting at Osborn Hotel.

Umahi stated that this initiative is part of a new leadership approach designed to allow communities to identify projects they deem essential for their development. Each ward is expected to identify five projects through its councillor, potentially resulting in 55 proposals across the local government area.

However, the council has not yet disclosed the criteria for project selection, funding arrangements, or the timeline for when work on approved projects will commence. This initiative aims to enhance residents' input into project selection by enabling communities to present their most pressing needs directly through their ward representatives.

The effectiveness of this plan's implementation will be crucial in translating the identified priorities into actionable projects across the 11 wards.
