Oshiomhole Advocates Death Penalty for Kidnappers in Edo

Adam Oshiomhole, former Edo State governor and current senator representing Edo North, expressed his support for the death penalty for kidnappers and bandits during a campaign event for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Auchi, Edo State, on Saturday. He backed the proposal made by Governor Mondai Okpebholo, stating that every state has the right to enact laws to punish serious offenses like kidnapping and banditry.

Oshiomhole also advocated for the establishment of a state police to complement the efforts of the Nigeria Police Force in tackling insecurity. He praised Governor Okpebholo's administration for its commitment to developing Edo State through various infrastructural projects, including roads and schools.

Oshiomhole urged party members to mobilize support for APC candidates in the upcoming local government elections and the 2027 general elections, emphasizing the importance of grassroots development and the need for the party to deliver 2.5 million votes for Bola Tinubu.
