2026 Fight Gist Media Box Award Nominees Announced

The 2026 Fight Gist Media Box Award nominees have been revealed, with the ceremony set for June 28, 2026, at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos. This event aims to celebrate the achievements of boxers, coaches, and promoters across 14 voting categories.

Elizabeth Oshoba is prominently nominated for the Female Social Media Influencer Award, alongside Ojo Joi, Oluwol Bolatito, and Chiamaka Nwaturuocha. Ik Ibeabuchi is nominated for Comeback of the Year, competing against Afolabi Shittu, Kabiru Towolawi, and others.

Taiwo Agbaj, who was the biggest winner at last year's inaugural ceremony, returns as a nominee in three categories: Fan Favourite, Best Ring Walk, and Male Fighter of the Year. Other nominees include Sadam Oladipupo and Sodiq Adelek in the Fight of the Year category.

The awards also recognize amateur boxers and trainers, with special awards for outstanding contributions to promoting Nigerian boxing.
