APC Candidate in Osun Meets Defectors from SDP and PDP Ahead of 2026 Election

In Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji, the APC candidate for the 2026 governorship election, engaged with defectors from the SDP and PDP. Oyebamiji met with the new members who had left their former parties to join APC.

He emphasized the need for the defectors to contribute to APC's success in the upcoming election. Oyebamiji dismissed rumors linking his defection to a plan to reduce workers' salaries if elected, stating that such claims were false and aimed at discrediting APC.

The defectors were assured of equal opportunities within the party. Raji Kareem, a double coordinator at Ajisop Development Initiative, highlighted the group's mobilization efforts to support APC in the governorship election.

The election, scheduled for August 8, 2026, will see Oyebamiji running on the APC platform against the incumbent governor seeking re-election.
