ODA Hosts Election Integrity Summit in Osun for 2026

The Osun Development Association (ODA) is organizing an election integrity summit scheduled for July 16, 2026, at the Aurora Event Centre in Osogbo, Osun State. The summit aims to address rising tensions and political violence in the lead-up to the gubernatorial elections.

Under the theme "Choose to Hold Account," the summit will gather a coalition of stakeholders, including the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, political parties, and civil society organizations. Dr.

Tunji Olugbodi, Chairman of ODA's Leadership Governance Committee, emphasized the need for a peaceful and credible electoral process. The summit will introduce three institutional outputs, including a "Peace Charter" that commits political parties and candidates to non-violence during the campaign.

This initiative is part of ODA's broader effort to enhance democratic processes in Osun State and ensure accountability among political actors.
