Early Arrival of INEC Staff Praised in Osun Election

On Saturday, during the Osun State governorship election, party agents and voters commended the early arrival of ad hoc staff from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which significantly improved preparations. Voting commenced at Ward 8, Unit 7 at 8:30 a.m. with many voters present.

Moruf Ajayi, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) party agent, praised INEC for the timely deployment of staff, which contributed to the smooth start of voting. Voter Oladimeji Ajibola also expressed appreciation for the early arrival of materials and staff, encouraging peaceful conduct among participants.

Conversely, at Ward 8, Unit 10, voting faced delays due to the unavailability of tables and chairs for displaying materials. INEC Presiding Officer Elizabeth Adaramaja reported that her team had arrived at 6:45 a.m. but could not set up due to the lack of basic facilities.

Party agents Grace Samson and Rachael Ajayi worked to resolve the issue, emphasizing the need for urgent attention from stakeholders.
