INEC Staff Arrive Early for Osun Governorship Election

On Saturday, during the Osun State governorship election, ad hoc staff from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) arrived early at various polling units in Ilesa metropolis. Reports indicate that staff were present at Ward 1, Unit 8, and Ward 8, Unit 3, Ilesa West Local Government Area.

Segun Adegbaju, the Supervisory Presiding Officer for Ward 1, Unit 8, stated that voting is scheduled to begin at 8:30 am, confirming that there are no challenges and that security is adequate. Voters were seen checking their names on the register posted near polling booths.

Additionally, a significant security presence was observed throughout the metropolis, with armed soldiers stationed less than a kilometer apart to ensure safety during the electoral process.
