Timi Frank Calls for Arrest of Senator Fadahunsi Over Remarks

Timi Frank, a representative of the United Liberation Movement for West Papua (ULMWP), has demanded the arrest of Senator Francis Fadahunsi due to remarks he made that allegedly incite violence against Accord Party members. In a video, Fadahunsi accused Accord Party supporters of attacking members of the APC and encouraged his audience to retaliate.

Frank condemned these statements as “unguarded” and harmful to Nigeria's democracy, calling for immediate action from security agencies despite Fadahunsi's position as a senator. He emphasized that the Senate should not overlook such threats to electoral peace and suggested that Fadahunsi should be suspended.

Frank compared the situation to the detention of former Kaduna State governor Nasir El-Rufai, questioning the inconsistency in government responses to similar statements from opposition versus ruling party members. He urged the international community, including the US and EU, to monitor the Osun election closely and take action against politicians whose statements could undermine Nigeria's democratic process.
