Tinubu's EFCC Directive Praised by Osun IPAC

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Osun State commended President Bola Tinubu for his directive to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to vacate the court order that froze the state government accounts. This action was described as a demonstration of respect for democratic principles and the rule of law.

Odesola Oluseye Titus, the caretaker committee chairman of Osun IPAC, emphasized that this development reinforces confidence in Nigeria's democratic institutions. The council urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, and other security agencies to learn from the directive and fulfill their constitutional responsibilities, particularly as Osun State prepares for its governorship election scheduled for August 15, 2026.

IPAC stressed the importance of impartiality in the electoral process and called on all stakeholders to respect voters' rights, ensuring that the electoral process reflects the will of the people through credible voting and proper counting of ballots.
