Osun APC Denies Petition Against Adeleke's Election Victory

The Governorship Campaign Council of the Osun State All Progressives Congress (APC) issued a statement on Monday, dismissing reports that the party and its governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, filed a petition challenging the outcome of the August 15, 2026 governorship election at the Election Petition Tribunal. The council's statement, signed by Engr Oluremi Omowaiye, clarified that neither the APC nor Oyebamiji filed any petition, labeling the claims as false and mischievous rumors intended to mislead the public.

The council urged the public and media to disregard these unverified claims, emphasizing the party's commitment to lawful and democratic processes. The statement reiterated that the APC and Oyebamiji are dedicated to maintaining peace and stability in Osun State and encouraged reliance on official communications from the party regarding the election outcome.
