Osun Assembly Passes Bills on Marriage and Water Management

The Osun State House of Assembly has passed bills related to Islamic and traditional marriage registration, as well as water user associations for irrigation. The bills seek to provide a legal framework for marriage practices and improve water management in the state.

Sponsored by Hon. Lawal Bamidel Rasheed, the Islamic and traditional marriage registration bill aims to protect marriage rites, while the water user association irrigation bill aims to empower farmers and rural communities in managing irrigation infrastructure.

The bills will be transmitted for the governor's approval.
