Adeleke Declares Work-Free Day for Osun Election

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke declared Friday, August 14, 2026, a work-free day for public servants in the state to prepare for the upcoming governorship election on August 15. This declaration was communicated through a circular issued by the Head of Service, Elder Ayanleye Aina, and is intended to allow workers to travel and make necessary arrangements to exercise their voting rights.

The circular specifies that the work-free day applies to all public servants, except those engaged in emergency and essential services. In a pre-election message, Governor Adeleke urged public servants and their networks to actively participate in the election and protect their votes.
