NYSC Coordinator Commends Corps Members in Osun Election

Ekeng Ita Kubiangha, the Osun State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), commended corps members deployed as ad-hoc election personnel for their professionalism, discipline, and commitment during the 2026 Osun State governorship election held on Saturday. In a statement issued on Monday in Osogbo, Kubiangha highlighted the successful monitoring of the election, noting visits to polling units in Alajue 1, Alajue 2, Akoda/Oloki, and Isibo/Buhari-Isola wards to ensure the safety and welfare of corps members.

He reported that corps members adhered to operational guidelines and safety advisories, performing their duties without fear or intimidation. Kubiangha praised the coordination efforts of officers in the situation room, Zonal Inspectors, and Local Government Inspectors, as well as the role of security agencies in protecting corps members.

He also acknowledged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for its prompt response to challenges during the election and emphasized the importance of cooperation among stakeholders through the Inter-Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) for a peaceful electoral process.
