CSOs Praise NSCDC for Conduct During Osun Election

A coalition of civil society organizations (CSOs), led by Comrade Sunny Attah, the National President of Stand Up Nigeria, commended the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for their professional conduct during the Osun State governorship election. This commendation came after monitoring the election across all 30 local government areas in Osun State.

Attah praised the NSCDC personnel for demonstrating professionalism, restraint, and discipline before, during, and after the election, which significantly contributed to maintaining peace and order. He attributed this positive conduct to the training and discipline instilled under the leadership of NSCDC Commandant-General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, OFR, mni.

The coalition noted that the visible presence of NSCDC officers at polling units helped deter disturbances and reassured voters. They urged the NSCDC to continue investing in personnel training and called on political stakeholders to respect the law and promote peaceful participation in future elections.
