APC's Oyintiloye Calls for Unity After Election Loss

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, called for a strategic repositioning of the party following its recent governorship election loss. In a statement from Osogbo, he warned against engaging in post-election blame games and urged members to conduct a thorough assessment of the party's performance.

Oyintiloye stressed that elections are influenced by multiple factors, including candidate appeal, grassroots mobilization, and campaign strategies, rather than the actions of a single individual. He highlighted the urgency of preparing for the 2027 general elections, stating that the party must work to convert the recent setback into future victories for President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates.

He called for a post-election review and emphasized the importance of reconnecting with grassroots members to restore public confidence in the party. Oyintiloye described the electoral defeat as a temporary setback and urged members to focus on rebuilding rather than internal conflict.
