Osun Government Denies Ghost Workers Allegations Amid Fraud Claims

The Osun State government has rejected claims of inserting 8,452 ghost workers in its payroll, leading to an annual financial loss of N13.7 billion. Salli Tibbot Consult Nig Ltd, the firm behind the allegations, is accused of attempting to blackmail the government.

The government conducted a re-verification exercise which revealed an inflation of ghost worker figures submitted earlier. The government encourages transparency amid the controversy surrounding the consultancy fees and savings.

Legal actions are being considered to address the situation.
