Oyinlola Refutes Adeleke's Claim on Vehicle Gift

Olagunsoye Oyinlola, the former Governor of Osun State, has denied claims made by current Governor Ademola Adeleke that he received a vehicle from him prior to endorsing Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, for the August 15 election. Oyinlola stated that the vehicle was issued by the Osun State Government as part of entitlements legally approved for former governors, not as a personal gift from Adeleke.

He explained that a law enacted by the Osun State House of Assembly provides for the replacement of official vehicles every four years for former governors. Oyinlola emphasized that he has been out of office for 16 years and is entitled to multiple vehicle replacements during that time.

Additionally, he mentioned that the legislation includes other benefits for former governors, such as security arrangements and support staff.
