Oyebamiji Challenges Adeleke on Osun's Financial Claims

Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, has called on Governor Ademola Adeleke’s administration to provide an account of federal allocations received since Adeleke took office. Oyebamiji claimed that the previous administration under Governor Gboyega Oyetola left behind N15 billion, contradicting Adeleke’s assertion of inheriting a challenging financial situation with significant liabilities.

During an interactive session at the Arise TV Town Hall Meeting, Oyebamiji argued that the Adeleke administration has received more resources than previous governments, yet the level of development does not reflect this increase. He provided a financial comparison, stating that Osun received approximately N450 billion during the 12 years of APC governance under Aregbesola and Oyetola, while Adeleke’s administration has received over N650 billion in just three and a half years.

Oyebamiji criticized the allocation of resources, claiming that 97 percent goes to only two local governments, which he deemed an aberration. He attributed the increase in federal allocations to economic reforms by President Bola Tinubu.
