Imumolen Appeals to Adeleke Amid Safety Concerns

Prof Chris Imumolen, a factional leader of the Accord Party, raised alarms about threats to his life allegedly from supporters of Ademola Adeleke, the re-elected governor of Osun State. This concern arose after Imumolen endorsed the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate just a day before the governorship election.

He emphasized that he seeks no conflict but rather justice and peace, urging Governor Adeleke to use his influence to ensure that his supporters refrain from intimidation or violence. Imumolen stated that he has not authorized any violent actions on his behalf and believes political disagreements should be resolved through dialogue and lawful means.

He made a public appeal for peace and restraint, asserting his right to participate in democratic activities without fear. Furthermore, he called for an independent investigation should any harm come to him or his family, underscoring that no political disagreement justifies violence or threats to life.
