NURTW Boss Denies Assassination Plot Against Davido's Cousin

Kazeem Oyewal, the acting chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Osun State, addressed allegations regarding a purported assassination plot against Adebayo Adeleke, a cousin of popular singer Davido. Oyewal characterized these claims as baseless and part of a smear campaign aimed at tarnishing the image of the NURTW and the state government in light of the upcoming electoral cycle.

The controversy arose following a statement from the Osun State government, which informed the public about the alleged plot involving hoodlums linked to Oyewal. The government indicated that an incident occurred around the Okefia area of Osogbo, where Adeleke's vehicle was reportedly pursued by armed individuals.

Oyewal called for the immediate arrest of those making false allegations and expressed concerns for his safety. He urged intervention from the highest levels of national security, including President Bola Tinubu and the Inspector General of Police, to address what he termed political persecution.
