Osun PDP Group Seeks Wike's Intervention Amid Crisis

The Reset Group of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has formally requested the intervention of Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, to prevent the further collapse of the party's structure in the state. In a letter signed by the group's president, Akinwal Oyetund, and addressed to the chairman of the PDP's national caretaker committee, Abdulrahman Wike, the group expressed concerns over the leadership crisis under Sundai Bisi.

They demand the dissolution of the current state working committee, which they claim is undermining the party and pushing members towards alternative political platforms. The group has warned that the actions of the state working committee could weaken the PDP's political relevance ahead of future elections.

They urge Wike to facilitate the appointment of a caretaker committee to allow aspirants to freely contest for office in the upcoming 2027 general elections. Meanwhile, the current state working committee has rejected calls for dissolution, asserting their legitimacy and urging members to remain calm.
