Osun Election Shows Tinubu Can Be Defeated in 2027

Nigerian businessman and social commentator Prince Isaac Fayose asserted that the results of the recent governorship election in Osun State indicate that President Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) can be defeated in the upcoming 2027 presidential election, provided Nigerian youths unite similarly to the people of Osun State. In a video posted on his Facebook page, Fayose criticized the APC governors who supported the party's candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in an attempt to unseat the incumbent governor, Ademola Adeleke, who ran as the Accord Party candidate.

Fayose emphasized that Adeleke's victory was a testament to the determination of the Osun populace, stating, “With 16 APC governors in Osun, the party failed woefully.” He encouraged Nigerians to follow the example of Osun voters and work towards removing President Tinubu in the January elections, asserting that the power of the people surpasses that of those in power.
