Police Deny Assassination Attempt on Gov Adeleke's Son

The Osun State Police Command has officially denied reports of an alleged assassination attempt on Adebayo Adeleke, also known as B Red, the son of Governor Ademola Adeleke. The police described the circulating report as false and unverifiable, capable of causing unnecessary panic among the public.

This clarification followed a statement from Kolapo Alimi, who announced that B Red had escaped an assassination attempt in Osogbo on Wednesday. In response to inquiries, police spokesman DSP Abiodun Ojelabi provided details of the incident, stating that a group of individuals on motorcycles allegedly pointed their vehicle at B Red's white Toyota Venza, which did not have a registration number, while chanting words suggesting he was being targeted.

Ojelabi confirmed that B Red was able to leave the area safely and that no physical harm occurred during the incident. The police have transferred the matter to the state criminal investigation department for a discreet investigation.
