Adebayo to Sue Fadahunsi Over Election Remarks

Ladi Adebayo, known as Omo Lere, the Accord Party candidate for Ijesa South Federal Constituency, announced his intention to approach international bodies regarding comments made by Senator Francis Fadahunsi ahead of the Osun governorship election. Adebayo plans to notify the International Criminal Court, the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice, and various U.S. and UK legislative bodies.

He claims Fadahunsi's remarks at a rally in Ilesa, where he referenced the burning of Adebayo's father's house in 1983, constituted a threat. Adebayo expressed concern that Fadahunsi's comments suggested he might face a similar fate as his father, who experienced violence after a political defection.

He emphasized that he would take decisive legal action both in Nigeria and internationally, stating that the international community should be alerted to potential harm against him. This announcement follows Fadahunsi's previous controversial remarks urging APC supporters to confront Accord members before the election, which he later claimed were misrepresented.
