ADC Candidate Najeem Salaam Promises 20,000 Jobs

Najeem Salaam, the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress in Osun State, has committed to recruiting 20,000 individuals into the state civil service within his first 100 days in office if elected. This pledge was made during a town hall meeting organized by Arise TV for candidates contesting the August 15 Osun State governorship election.

Salaam indicated that the recruitment would encompass various fields, including teaching, and emphasized that he is a well-researched individual who ensures his promises are achievable. He cited his experience in the administration of former Governor Rauf Aregbesola as a basis for his confidence in meeting this target.

Additionally, Salaam promised to provide uninterrupted electricity across the state, referencing the Electricity Act 2023, which allows state governments to generate and distribute electricity. He assured the people of Osun that his administration would work towards achieving 24-hour electricity supply if he is elected.
