APC Chieftain Warns Against Voter Intimidation in Osun

Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, issued a warning on Sunday against voter intimidation that could undermine the democratic process ahead of the state’s governorship election. Speaking to newsmen in Osogbo, he called on security agencies to take decisive action against anyone attempting to disrupt the election.

Oyintiloye highlighted the difficulties many eligible voters face in collecting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and emphasized that simplifying this process would enhance voter turnout. He encouraged those who have not yet collected their PVCs to do so and to participate peacefully in the election.

He stated that no individual or group should undermine the democratic process through intimidation. Oyintiloye also urged security agencies to remain vigilant and professional in safeguarding lives and property during the election period.

He expressed optimism about the APC's governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, citing strong support and goodwill from residents as indicators of potential victory.
