UNIOSUN Student Wins RRBN Research Grant of N100,000

Ifeoluwa Akangbe, a final-year 500-level student in the Department of Radiography and Radiation Sciences at Osun State University (UNIOSUN) in Osogbo, was announced on 25 August 2026, as a recipient of a grant from the Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria (RRBN). This initiative aims to support and encourage research among undergraduate students in the radiography field across Nigeria.

Akangbe will receive a N100,000 grant to fund his research work, part of the RRBN's total allocation of N5 million for the scheme. The announcement was made by the university's Public Relations Officer, Ademola Adesoji, and Vice-Chancellor Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye expressed delight at Akangbe's selection, describing it as a reflection of the university's commitment to nurturing innovation and research among its students.

This achievement places Akangbe among a select group of undergraduate students from across Nigeria chosen for this competitive award, marking a significant milestone for both him and his department.
