Prof. Yusuf's Transformative Tenure at Osun State University

Professor Florence Yusuf, the immediate past Provost of Osun State University College of Education, officially handed over leadership during a ceremony in Osogbo, marking a transformative era for the institution. She reported that over 90 scholarships, educational grants, and financial supports were awarded to students through collaborations with philanthropists and development partners, aimed at alleviating financial barriers to academic success.

During her four-year tenure, she introduced four new undergraduate programs and developed seven additional programs awaiting National Universities Commission verification. These included B.Sc. (Ed) programs in Business Education, Environmental Education, Adult and Continuing Education, and Computer Education, along with Ph.D. offerings in English Language Education, Measurement and Evaluation, Curriculum Studies, and Science Education.

Additionally, Professor Yusuf served as chairman of the Committee of Provosts, Deans, and Directors, contributing to policy harmonization and academic quality assurance within the university. Her leadership is noted for unprecedented scholarship support, marking a significant achievement in the college's history.
