Adeleke Advocates Peace Among Osun Leaders at 35th Anniversary

On the occasion of Osun State's 35th anniversary, Governor Ademola Adeleke initiated discussions for post-election reconciliation with former governors Bisi Akande, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, and Rauf Aregbesola. In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, Adeleke highlighted the importance of restoring elite interaction and consensus after the divisive governorship election.

He urged all political leaders to support a peace agenda to heal the divisions caused by pre-election violence. Adeleke also reached out to former governor Gboyega Oyetola and APC governorship candidate Bola Oyebamiji, although no response was received at the time of the report.

He reiterated his commitment to peace and reconciliation, reflecting on President Bola Tinubu's request for him to champion these efforts. Adeleke's message emphasized that there are no victors or vanquished in the elections, and he called for unity to ensure the delivery of good governance and the benefits of democracy to the people of Osun State.
