APC Alleges Thug Mobilization Ahead of Osun Election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has raised concerns regarding the alleged mobilization of political thugs into the Osun State Government House ahead of the governorship election scheduled for Saturday. During a press briefing on Friday, APC chieftain Comrade Kehinde Ayantunji claimed that the party received intelligence indicating that a significant number of suspected thugs had been transported to the Government House within the last two hours.

Ayantunji alleged that some of these individuals were not from Osun State and were brought in specifically for the election. He mentioned two individuals, “Olowe” and “Iberu,” as coordinators of this movement and provided details about the vehicles used, including specific registration numbers.

The APC expressed concern that these thugs could disrupt voting in areas where the party has strong support, such as Osogbo and surrounding local government areas. Ayantunji also criticized the presence of an armoured vehicle at the Government House, questioning its purpose and suggesting it could be used to protect individuals rather than assist security agencies during the election.
