Otti Supports CCB's Digital Asset Declaration Initiative

On Tuesday, Abia State Governor Alex Otti commended the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) for its initiative to digitize the asset declaration process. During a meeting with the CCB's Zonal Director for the Southeast, Akinfolarin Feyishola, Otti highlighted the alignment of this move with global best practices and his administration's reform agenda.

He noted the importance of digitization in improving service delivery and ensuring compliance among public officials, stating that there should be no excuses for non-compliance with asset declaration requirements. Otti directed the Secretary to the State Government to work with relevant offices to ensure full compliance with asset declaration requirements for political appointees.

Feyishola acknowledged Otti's efforts in attracting national attention to the state and emphasized the need for public officials to comply with asset declaration mandates. The CCB plans to fully automate the asset declaration process by the third quarter of the year, moving entirely online, which is expected to enhance compliance among public servants.
