Otti Prioritizes Security for Development in Abia State

On Wednesday, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State reaffirmed his administration's commitment to prioritizing security as essential for sustainable development. During a meeting with a delegation from the Nigeria Naval College, led by Commodore O Bamidel, Otti stated that development cannot thrive in an unsafe environment.

He expressed gratitude for the delegation's decision to host their 40th anniversary reunion in Abia State and acknowledged the progress made under his administration. Otti appointed Macdonald Ubah, a retired naval officer and alumnus of the college, as his special adviser on security, emphasizing that the appointment was based strictly on merit.

The governor highlighted the positive changes occurring in Abia State, particularly in the capital, Umuahia, and expressed his commitment to ensuring a secure environment for the people. The meeting was attended by Deputy Governor Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu and other senior officials.
