Abia Police Command Denies Governor Otti Opposed Transfers

The Abia State Police Command issued a statement refuting claims that Governor Alex Otti opposed the transfer of police officers from the state. The command labeled these reports as untrue and misleading, asserting that they do not reflect the actual position of the command.

The statement, signed by DSP Maureen Chinaka, the spokesperson for the command, clarified that at no time did Governor Otti direct the withholding of personnel transfers. It was explained that the transfer of police personnel is a routine process managed by the Inspector General of Police.

The Abia Police Command urged the public to disregard any fake or unverifiable information and to rely on credible sources for accurate updates regarding police personnel matters.
