Anambra Leads Voter Registration Surge Through Civic Education Campaigns

The Anambra State Civic Social Reformation Office (ANCISRO) attributes the high voter registration numbers in the state to sustained sensitization efforts. ANCISRO's initiatives, including town hall meetings, school outreach programs, and youth forums, have led to a surge in civic engagement.

Anambra recorded the highest number of new voter registrations in Nigeria, with women accounting for 58% of new registrants. The Managing Director of ANCISRO highlighted the success of their civic education and mobilization strategies.

The state's active participation contrasts with low registration numbers in neighboring states, emphasizing the impact of effective voter awareness campaigns.
