Ogun State Inducts 120 New Headteachers in Education

On [date not specified], approximately 120 newly appointed headteachers in public primary schools across Ogun State were inducted into their positions during a ceremony held at the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Hall in Kuto, Abeokuta. The Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abayomi Arigbabu, urged the new leaders to maintain professionalism and significantly contribute to the development of basic education in the state.

Olalekan Ifede, Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), revealed that a screening and oral interview process was implemented to ensure that appointees possess the necessary qualifications, experience, and leadership skills. Abiodun Sanyaolu, Chairman of the Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), congratulated the inductees and emphasized their critical role in basic education.

Femi Fatade, Director of Administration and Supplies at SUBEB, noted that the induction reflects the agency's commitment to merit and effective leadership. Other education stakeholders also commended the collaborative efforts in the state's education sector.
