Abia Para Badminton Tourney Welcomes 374 Athletes from Across the Globe

Over 374 athletes from Europe, Asia, Americas, and Africa will participate in the Abia Para Badminton International Tournament in Umuahia from September 30 to October 12. The event, sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation and Badminton Confederation Africa, aims to position Abia State as a hub for para badminton in Africa.

The Commissioner of Sports and Social Development, Nwaobilor Nwadinma Ananaba, highlighted the significance of hosting this championship, emphasizing global friendship and inclusiveness. The tournament will feature athletes from various countries, with comprehensive logistics in place to ensure a successful and safe event for all participants.
