Owerri Leaders Praise Elders for Ceding Governorship

Leaders from the Owerri Zone have expressed their commendation for the Imo Elders Council's recent decision to cede the governorship of Imo State to their zone. This resolution, made during a leadership meeting, is seen as a necessary step to stabilize and balance the political landscape of the state.

Hon. Justu Ogu, the Owerri zonal chairman of the APC, acknowledged the courage and wisdom of the elders in making this decision, which reflects a strong commitment to unity within Imo State.

Ogu emphasized the importance of maintaining cooperation among leaders in the Owerri Zone, despite differences, and urged party leaders to remain disciplined and focused. He warned against actions that could undermine confidence in the zone's leadership.
