FCC Reform Agenda Launched by Hon. Omidiran in Ekiti

On Tuesday, Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, the Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), declared a reform agenda focused on restoring public confidence and enhancing transparency within the commission.

This announcement was made during the opening of the 2026 Executive Management Leadership Retreat held in Ikogosi, Ekiti State, from July 7 to July 11, 2026. The retreat, themed "Repositioning the Federal Character Commission: Instituting Renewed Leadership for National Cohesion," aimed to provide a strategic platform for collaboration and institutional capacity development.

Notable attendees included former First Lady of Osun State, Kafayat Oyetola, and the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, who emphasized the importance of the FCC in promoting equity and social justice.

The retreat featured discussions led by Mr. Olusad Adesola and Mr.

Humphrei Ukah, focusing on constitutional frameworks and practical recommendations for enhancing the commission's effectiveness in fulfilling its mandate.
