Oyebanji Urges FCC to Promote National Unity and Renewal

On Wednesday, during the opening of the 2026 Executive Management Leadership Retreat in Ikogosi, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji called on the Federal Character Commission (FCC) to deepen its commitment to institutional renewal and promote national unity. He stressed that Nigeria's ethnic, cultural, and linguistic diversity is a significant strength and that sustainable national development relies on ensuring every citizen feels represented and valued.

Oyebanji highlighted the necessity of cohesive leadership, noting that no institution can achieve success without shared values and collective responsibility. He encouraged active participation in the retreat to develop practical solutions that would enhance the FCC's effectiveness and credibility.

FCC Executive Chairman Hulayat Omidiran also spoke at the retreat, urging board members to renew their commitment to excellence in leadership and equal opportunities across the country. She commended the Ekiti State government for its hospitality and congratulated Oyebanji on his re-election, reflecting the confidence of the Ekiti people in his administration.
