Islamic Cleric Praises Tinubu, Makinde for Rescue Efforts

Fadeelatu Sheikh Abdul Mu Min Shehu Usman, the Islamic cleric and first Muqaddamul Wai Zeen of Oyo State, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Seyi Makinde for their roles in the rescue of students and teachers kidnapped on May 15, 2026, in Oriir Local Government Area. In a statement made available to journalists, Usman expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the successful operation, which he described as a demonstration of unity among Nigerians.

He acknowledged the efforts of security agencies and emphasized the importance of their swift action in ensuring the safety of children and the continuity of education. Usman extended heartfelt thanks to all individuals and groups involved in the rescue operation, including Oba Afolabi Olaoy, and called for continued prayers for peace and security in Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
