Oyo State Distributes 1,000 Bags of SAfER Rice to Youth

The Oyo State government has initiated the distribution of 1,000 bags of SAfER rice to vulnerable youth groups across the state to help mitigate the effects of economic hardship. This distribution, which began on Tuesday, is part of the ongoing efforts to cushion the economic challenges faced by residents.

The exercise is coordinated by the Oyo State Agency for Youth Development, led by Hon. Adebowale Adebayo Falana.

Chief Segun Ogunwuyi, Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, also spoke at the commencement of the initiative, emphasizing the administration's commitment to the welfare of young people in Oyo State. The beneficiaries were carefully selected from vulnerable youth bodies across the state's 33 local government areas to ensure transparency and equitable distribution.

The program reflects the government's determination to address current economic challenges and strengthen the confidence of the state's youth. The distribution is expected to continue in phases until all designated vulnerable youth groups receive their allocations.
