Oyo State Distributes 30,000 Rice Bags to Vulnerable Residents

The Oyo State Government, led by Governor Seyi Makinde, has partnered with a multinational company to distribute 30,000 bags of rice to vulnerable residents in all 33 local government areas of the state. This initiative aims to cushion the effects of economic hardships and inflation on the most disadvantaged groups, including persons with disabilities.

The flag-off ceremony took place at the state local government secretariat in Ibadan, where Prof. Musibau Babatunde, representing the state government, commended the donor company for its support.

He emphasized the administration's commitment to implementing policies that alleviate hunger and economic hardship. Victor Ejiro, head of operations at the multinational company, noted that this donation is part of the company's annual corporate social responsibility initiative, which aims to support one million vulnerable Nigerians nationwide.

Ejiro praised the Oyo State Government for its commitment to social welfare and transparency in ensuring that food items reach intended beneficiaries.
