Oyo State Holds Confirmation Exam for 4,500 Civil Servants

The Oyo State government, through the Ministry of Establishments and Training, conducted the year 2026 mandatory confirmation examination for civil servants on Grade Levels 1 to 6, with over 4,500 candidates participating. The examination was held simultaneously at seven designated centers across Oyo State.

Prince Dotun Oyelade, the Commissioner for Information, announced this in a statement released on Thursday in Ibadan. The examination is a requirement for officers appointed to junior cadres to pass within two years of their appointment to qualify for confirmation of their employment.

Alhaji Hameed Alade Bello, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, addressed candidates at the Simeon Adebo Staff Development Centre, encouraging them to remain patient and perform well, as the results will be communicated through their respective Ministries, Departments, and Agencies. The examination covered subjects including Public Service Rules 1 and 2, as well as Current Affairs.
