Oyo Man Kills Brother Over Dream Shooting Claim

Lateef Suleiman, a 43-year-old man from Sepeteri, Oyo State, has been arrested for allegedly killing his elder brother, Mustapha Amidu, aged 52. The incident occurred after Lateef claimed that Mustapha shot him in a dream the previous night.

Following this accusation, Lateef reportedly approached Mustapha while he was seated, picked up a heavy rock, and struck him on the head before fleeing the scene. Mustapha was rushed to Ileri Oluwa Hospital in Sepeteri, where he was confirmed dead by medical personnel.

The Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ayanlad Olayinka, stated that the police quickly visited the scene and the hospital. Lateef Suleiman was subsequently tracked down and arrested, where he confessed to the crime.

The Commissioner of Police, Femi Haruna, has ordered the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for a comprehensive investigation, assuring the public that justice will be pursued diligently according to the law.
