Oyo Police Arrest 10 in Ritual Human Parts Syndicate

The Oyo State Police Command arrested ten individuals suspected of dealing in human parts during coordinated raids in the Iseyin and Saki areas. The operation followed months of intelligence gathering and surveillance.

The arrested suspects are Adam Ibrahim (42), Nasiru Kabiru (22), Tijani Wasiu (54), Abiola Nasiru (45), Amusa Gbadamosi (57), Raheem Taofeek (46), Jimoh Muritala (35), Suleiman Busari (47), Ganiyu Nurudeen (36), and Usman Abdullahi (52). During the raids, police recovered a suspected human heart, pieces of skull, human flesh, and various charms.

The recovered items have been secured for forensic examination as investigations continue. The suspects confessed to their involvement in the trade of human parts for ritualistic purposes and are assisting police in identifying the sources and intended uses of the items.

Oyo State Commissioner of Police, CP Abimbola Ayodeji Olugbenga, praised the operatives for their efforts and assured the public of the Command's commitment to combating criminal activities.
